Our attention in the second half of the course will turn to tools used to evaluate and analyze data. Once data has been compiled, business intelligence tools and artificial intelligence programs can be used to analyze and visualize the data. Data analysis provides baseline information to investigate problems, and ongoing analysis provides feedback on the impact of change. Visualization of data is an important tool for communicating patient-centric and organizational process metrics. 

Assignment Description:

Annotated Bibliography

Write a 2500-word annotated bibliography addressing each of the following points. Be sure to completely answer all the questions for each bullet point.

Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper.

Support your ideas with at least ten (10) sources in your essay. Make sure to reference the citations using the APA writing style for the essay. The cover page and reference page do not count towards the minimum word amount. Review the rubric criteria for this assignment.

Complete a literature search focused on business intelligence and artificial intelligence in healthcare. Use credible, peer-reviewed journals in healthcare and healthcare informatics to compile a list of five (5) articles about business intelligence and five (5) articles about artificial intelligence.

Create an annotated bibliography of the (10) ten chosen articles. Start each annotation with the article reference in APA format. Under each full reference, write a paragraph that addresses the three items below. Each annotated entry should be at least a half page, double-spaced, resulting in three pages of content.

  • Under each full APA reference of each article, write a paragraph addressing the following:
    • Summarize the article.
    • State how the information in the article aligns with the analysis of data.
    • Apply the information in the article to the DNP role in either administrative or clinical settings.
